...... from my "it's better tv" post, here's picking your brains .......

Now, I'm not a fan of the "green-eyed monster in the corner of the room" (TV), but my wife is and she watches all the rubbish they dish out (rubbish to me, laaaaike!). So, in Spain last week, I bought a new satellite dish and LNB to set up for receiving all the freesat channels over there.
Bugger! Later that night after I bought it, my mate says, "Hey, all our telly channels have gone off"! and, after enquiring, everybody elses channels have gone off too!
It turned out that the satellite, which supplied said channels for free, has been switched off. So it looks like I bought the dish etc., for nowt.
But, all's not lost. Another lad told me, "I can do you a firestick if you want, everything on it, €40, but you'll need internet access".
Then another said, "there's one called 'Kabelio', everything on it, it's about €200 a year".
Another said, "just get a free VPN and the internet, you can get anything you like with that"!

It's a minefield and a minefield I know very little about. So, has anybody on here got, or know of, any free satellite or internet accessed TV setups?
